Web up until recently, the port forwarding option has entirely not worked on both the website and the xfinity app, saying an error has occurred and making the option entirely inaccessible. Select connect (from the bottom navigation on the xfinity app). While selecting the internal host, input the same ip address you chose earlier. We can successfully internally ping the ip address of the server which accepts port 3389. Select the add port forward button and continue on the next screen. Web after logging in, find and go to port forwarding/mapping configuration. Then, choose the same port number you entered while setting up the ftp site. If i tried to open or close a port the app would show the port as being closed or opened but when i checked through a third party tool or my computer i found that there were no actual changes to the ports. Web seems like xfinity is only allowing ports to be forwarded on the dhcp range of the local network. Select edit next to the port forward you wish to edit or delete. Change your dhcp start/end range to cover the local ip you are trying to forward, then setup your forward and then change the dhcp range again.
