Vli Product String. But there's nothing wrong with windows from a technical point of view. When plugged into the usb port, i hear the correct sound, but nothing appears on this pc window.

Web external hard drive only shows as vli product string from usb?? Does anyone know how to change it? Web it doesn't show up in my computer but it does show up in devices and printers but strictly as a vli product string. Web vli product string. After some formating the drive works just fine, but on some devices the name shows as 'vli product string' even though during formating it has been changed. Makes me wonder whether it could be the hdd caddy thats throwing a wobbler. Yet plug it into the tv and still get the vli product string message. Windows xp, visa, windows 7,8 (32 & 64 bits) download now.
